Pilgrim Path

This blog is the work of a seeker and poet. Walking stick in hand, I head out into the world, not of the world, but in the world. My words and my friends carry me along and light the pilgrim path of spiritual journeys.

GRANDMOTHER MOON (see picture below)

Jealous of the shimmering stars
and wishes made upon them,
Grandmother Moon casts off her
midnight cloak, rising early

in the desert sky. But Brother Sun,
no subtle friend, rises too
and makes her glow recede.
Sun’s bright rays diminish her
eternal and spellbinding magic.
Lesson learned, Grandmother Moon
prepares to sleep
and plot her harvest ascent.
